The silk mill has a real sense of fear, Built in the 1700’s by The Lombe Brothers it is the oldest and one of the most important buildings in our history being the first factory in England, if not the world. It is a Grade II listed building holding enormous importance. The Silk Mill was the first in Britain and was one of the tourist attractions of Derby.
